We’ve been to a lot of dessert places in Bangkok (which is awesome), but doing so has taught us something about desserts in Thailand that is less than awesome (awe-not-so-much?): looks can be very deceiving. Where to eat in Bangkok | Som Tam Nua

Anyone who has ever been to Thailand knows what we’re talking about, when we say that you get great service everywhere in this country. No matter where you go, you’ll be greeted with a wai and a big smile. It’s extremely difficult to find a place, where this isn’t the case. Still, we managed to find that place in Siam. Som Tam Nua has restaurants located in Siam Square and in Siam Center. Liveliest hotel in Bangkok | W Bangkok

So this is our first post on Foxfaces and it’s a real gem. We’re currently in Bangkok and this means that we’re accompanied by three things: True Move, AirBnB and Booking.com. Since our phone bill would be ridiculous if we used our iPhones in Thailand, we always get a thai sim card from True Move as soon as we land. It doesn’t have to be True Move, but on top of the included data in their subscriptions, they have a lot of hotspots in Bangkok, allowing you free wifi access in case their phone signal proves insufficient.
